Sliced bacon is the key to the explosion. For our explosion we used about 1 kg of sliced bacon and that was enough for both the weave and the stuffing.
We couldn't get our hands on proper italian sausage that the original recipe suggests so we went with minced beef instead. We used 500 grams of beef.
We added a bit of salt and pepper on top of the stuffing. Since we had minced meat that doesn't really taste much on it's own we also added some basil and garlic to get the provencale touch.
We used two diffrent barbeque sauces. For the inside we had a chipotle sauce to add some spice to the Explosion and to top it off we used a hickory sauce on the outside.
